This is my digital Vision Board. The printed canvas sits within a metre square black frame – that hangs behind me on the wall – as I work in my office. For me my Vision Board – is more about motivation and guiding lights than the law of attraction. Although it keeps everything front of mind.
And we experience the life we focus on. It gives me energy, inspires me and is a moment by moment reminder of:
What I want to DO
What I want to HAVE
And most importantly
Who I want to BE
That meaningful, abundant, joyful, zinging, full on LIFE I want to live.
It is at least the 10th iteration of my digital Board – it recently got 10Xed. It began over a decade ago – when I started journalling daily. I designed and printed my daily journal and my Vision Board was the front cover – and still is. The journal design has been 10Xed too :). That may become another weekend post.
Do you fancy creating your own?
Start like I did – with Jack Canfield’s – 30 Things you want to ‘Do, Have and Be List’. A great brainstorm to identify 90 signposts for your journey in life.
Then go hunt for images and words that capture the essence of that list. You could even ask for a little AI help in doing this. I would suggest canva, pixaby, pinterest and unsplash to begin your image gathering. Then build and craft your digital montage adding in quotes and words as you feel they fit :).
The Board can be anything you want it to be. Mine is just an example. And remember to include a picture of yourself.
My Board began on a large PowerPoint canvas but Canva is probably the best place to create your masterpiece now.
Why? because it let’s you increase the print size and enhance the quality. The paid version gives you more options – so if you have not done so – get yourself a months free trial to have a play. The objective is to get you the best quality image to use for your prints – whether that is a journal, a canvas, a mug or simply a screensaver. You can put it everywhere to remind yourself of your ‘Do, Have and Be’ Vision. Although my 1 metre square framed print is my favourite :).
Of course, you can use these same concepts at work when discussing culture, values or a project team orientation – DO, HAVE, BE and Vision Boards work there too.
